For the last 2 years, a dedicated group of volunteers walked for 24 hours to raise money for Special Olympics Rhode Island.
In 2021 our team has expanded!
This year a dedicated team of 22 will walk (in variating increments) across the state:
-Some will walk for 6 hours (approximately 17 miles)
-Some will walk for 12 hours (approximately 37 miles) and
-A few will go all the way and walk for 24 hours
(approximately 73 miles)
Regardless of the hours or mileage covered, each participant is dedicated to supporting the athletes of Special Olympics RI and helping to raise funds and awareness.
Please consider a donation to a participant, or to the team.

In Support of Special Olympics RI
Special Olympics is a global movement that unleashes the human spirit through the transformative power and joy of sports, every day around the world. Through sports, health, education and community programming, Special Olympics is tackling inactivity, intolerance, isolation and injustice that people throughout the world face, especially people with intellectual disabilities.
Special Olympics Rhode Island is one of the state’s most dynamic programs, providing over 1,600 year-round sports training and athletic competition opportunities to more than 4,000 children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Special Olympics Rhode Island hosts over 40 statewide tournaments and competitions each year in 20 official and demonstration sports.
