  • The Annual Special Olympics RI Unified Softball Tournament will take place at Whipple Field in Smithfield on Saturday, August 28, 2021.

    Six Special Olympics RI unified teams from throughout the state will be playing two games each. All of the teams will be placed in divisions according to their ability level and will be awarded medals at the end of the day.

    Volunteers are needed to be announcers and score keepers at each field and to help groom the infields between games.

    Volunteer Hours: 8:30am-3pm

    • Some softball/baseball knowledge is helpful, especially for score keeping.

    • Volunteers must be 16 years old or older.

    • Lunch will be provided.

    • 9 volunteer slots available
