For the last 3 years, a dedicated group of volunteers has walked for 24 HOURS (about 70 miles on average) to raise money for Special Olympics Rhode Island!
For 2022, the team will walk several "loops" covering Northern RI and the East Bay with the RI State House serving as the "hub". (in variating increments) :- Some will walk for 6 HOURS: start at RI State House along Blackstone Bike Path, end in Lincoln
- Some will walk for 12 HOURS: start at RI State House, loop on the Blackstone Bike Path, return to RI State House
- A few will go all the way and walk for 24 HOURS: start at RI State House with a 12 hour loop then go down the East Bay Bike Path to conclude at Garden City Center, Cranston
Regardless of the hours or mileage covered, each participant is dedicated to supporting the athletes of Special Olympics RI and helping to raise funds and awareness.

Special Olympics is a global movement that unleashes the human spirit through the transformative power and joy of sports, every day around the world. Through sports, health, education and community programming, Special Olympics is tackling inactivity, intolerance, isolation and injustice that people throughout the world face, especially people with intellectual disabilities.
Special Olympics Rhode Island is one of the state’s most dynamic programs, providing over 1,600 year-round sports training and athletic competition opportunities to more than 4,000 children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Special Olympics Rhode Island hosts over 40 statewide tournaments and competitions each year in 20 official and demonstration sports.
