The Annual Special Olympics RI Unified Softball Tournament will take place at the Hank Soar Athletic Complex in Pawtucket on Saturday, August 17, 2024.
Special Olympics RI unified teams from throughout the state will be playing two games each. All of the teams will be placed in divisions according to their ability level and will be awarded medals at the end of the day.
Volunteers are needed to announce and do the scoring for the games.
Volunteer Hours: 8:30am-3pm
• Some softball/baseball knowledge is helpful, especially for score keeping.
• Lunch will be provided.

Special Olympics Rhode Island is one of the state’s most dynamic programs, providing over 1,600 year-round sports training and athletic competition opportunities to more than 4,000 children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Special Olympics Rhode Island hosts over 40 statewide tournaments and competitions each year in 20 official and demonstration sports.
