A Message From Rick LaBreche

On December 4-5th I will once again be participating in my 7th 24 hour Super Plunge to help support the amazing athletes of Special Olympics Rhode Island. I can not thank all my supporters enough for all of your most generous donations over the years. Because of all of your help, NO athlete has ever been charged a fee to participate in any of the over 24 sporting competitions that take place year round. Me and my Team will take our first of 24 ice cold plunges at 1:00pm on December 4th and will finish up at noon on December 5th. Once again I am extending the offer to anyone who wants to come on down to Salty Brine beach and join me for a plunge. If you want to mail a donation instead of online, here is my address, 127 Glendale Ave. Woonsocket, RI 02895. Thank you all once again for all your continued support and I am looking forward to " Freezen 4 A Reason and Plunging 4 A Purpose"!

Special Olympics is a global movement that unleashes the human spirit through the transformative power and joy of sports, every day around the world. Through sports, health, education and community programming, Special Olympics is tackling inactivity, intolerance, isolation and injustice that people throughout the world face, especially people with intellectual disabilities. Special Olympics Rhode Island is one of the state’s most dynamic programs, providing over 1,600 year-round sports training and athletic competition opportunities to more than 4,000 children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Special Olympics Rhode Island hosts over 40 statewide tournaments and competitions each year in 20 official and demonstration sports.
