A Message From Brent Wilks
We’re BACK! The 2021 Special Olympics Torch Run Plunge will be held on Sunday, December 5th at Salty Brine State Beach at 12:00 PM. Law enforcement from around the state will join together to go for this unforgiving, icy swim - including a team of your Rhode Island State Troopers.
Special Olympics is a remarkable organization that improves the lives of those with intellectual disabilities through athletic events and competition, while enlightening our society to become ever tolerant and accepting.
Any and all donations are tax-deductible and go directly to Special Olympics Rhode Island. Your support is greatly appreciated by our amazing athletes who continue to train to be the VERY best of Rhode Island.

Special Olympics Rhode Island is one of the state’s most dynamic programs, providing over 1,600 year-round sports training and athletic competition opportunities to more than 4,000 children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Special Olympics Rhode Island hosts over 40 statewide tournaments and competitions each year in 20 official and demonstration sports.
