Just a few short months ago, I was honored to be appointed President & CEO of Special Olympics Rhode Island. The opportunity has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my professional and personal life. This truly is the best job in the world. Special Olympics RI provides exceptional experiences and opportunities to individuals with intellectual disabilities. In short, we are changing lives! All of which is made possible through the generosity and support of the larger Rhode Island community. One of our premier annual events is the annual Celebrate the Movement 5k Run and Walk. This year's 3rd Annual Celebrate the Move is a first for me! It also happens to coincide with my 41st birthday!🎂 In honor of this year's Celebrate the Movement event I will be running the 5k and have set a goal of raising $4,100 to support Special Olympics RI. That's $100 for every year I have taken a journey around the sun! Join me in supporting the 2022 Celebrate the Movement event on October 23rd at Garden City. Every dollar donated supports the near 3,000 athletes from across the state who benefits from Special Olympics. I hope to see you there. Maybe there will be cake ?!?!?! 😁 Thank you! 🙌
