On March 25 I’ll be participating in the 7th annual Unified Champion Schools Plunge! This cause is so important to my school community and to me personally as a member of the Unified Executive Board and a player on the Unified Volleyball team. Being part of Unified has helped me see just how much of a difference kindness and inclusion can make, and the positive impact it has on everyone it reaches. Special Olympics Rhode Island is one of the state’s most dynamic programs, providing over 1,600 year-round sports training and athletic competition opportunities to more than 4,000 children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Special Olympics Rhode Island hosts over 40 statewide tournaments and competitions each year in 20 official and demonstration sports.
