A Message From Lauren Morelle

My school is participating in the Unified Champion Schools Plunge at Roger Wheeler Beach on March 25th. At Curvin McCabe, our staff members believe all students should be included! We have a Unified Team where the fifth graders pair up with a buddy in the Special Olympics program. Each week they get together to work on social skills through basketball. At the end of the year, the unified basketball team participates in a game against another elementary school in the city and it is one of my favorite days of the year. The fifth grade students make sure everyone is included, help children make baskets, and celebrate them when they do. It is an amazing event! Please consider donating to my team to raise money to keep this program going! We will be plunging into the cold water to show that we choose to include!
