A Message From Jolene Alves
Thank you for checking this out! I am once again participating in the 24-Hour Superwalk for Special Olympics Rhode Island, to raise funds and awareness for this amazing organization and its brave Athletes. They walk through life and its struggles every day with grace and strength; the least I can do is walk for one day.
This walk will take place on October 21st into October 22nd, and will finish at the Celebrate the Movement event in Garden City. I will be walking on the 21st, then will cheer on my teammates as they continue through the night.
Please consider donating to our team and to my page - your support and any little bit makes a difference!
NOTE: Due to the weather, the walk is postponed to the following weekend, October 28th and 29th, and will conclude at the Opening Ceremonies at the Special Olympics Fall Festival at Bryant University.

In Support of Special Olympics RI
Special Olympics is a global movement that unleashes the human spirit through the transformative power and joy of sports, every day around the world. Through sports, health, education and community programming, Special Olympics is tackling inactivity, intolerance, isolation and injustice that people throughout the world face, especially people with intellectual disabilities.
Special Olympics Rhode Island is one of the state’s most dynamic programs, providing over 1,600 year-round sports training and athletic competition opportunities to more than 4,000 children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Special Olympics Rhode Island hosts over 40 statewide tournaments and competitions each year in 20 official and demonstration sports.
