Hard to believe that this is going to be my 9th year participating in the 24 Hour Torch Run Super Plunge. Yup, that's right 24 ice cold plunges into the Atlantic Ocean in 24 hours. Why? Great question and a very easy answer. I do it to help raise not only money but also help raise awareness for the amazing athletes of Special Olympics Rhode Island. SORI is an organization that is very important to my family. My daughter Sarah is an athlete and she takes part in many different sports through out the year. She also participates in some athlete based programs that have helped her become an athlete leader and spokes-person. Money raised helps the over 4,000 athletes participate in over 25 sporting events that are held year round. SORI is very proud to say that NO athlete has ever been charged a fee to participate in any sport.
