On March 23, I will be heading back to Salty Brine Beach in Narragansett to plunge for the 8th time as a member of the Torch Run Super Plunge Team for Special Olympics Rhode Island. Along with my teammates, I will be plunging into the frigid Atlantic Ocean not just once, but once an hour for 24 straight hours. Yes, no matter the weather or water temperature, I'll be plunging at least 24 times ending at noon on March 24. By now you might be asking Why? It's easy....... I'm PLUNGING FOR A PURPOSE AND FREEZING FOR A REASON and that REASON is to raise funds and awareness for the 4000 plus incredible athletes of Special Olympics Rhode Island. The easy part is me plunging, LOL no it's not easy and at times it's not fun, but I know with your support the funds and awareness that our team will raise will make an impact in the lives of the athletes of Special Olympics Rhode Island. We are just not helping our athletes in Rhode Island, we are helping to raise awareness for the 5.6 million athletes worldwide who just wanted be included.
