A Message From Matthew Moynihan
Anyone who knows me knows two things: I don’t like being cold, and I definitely don’t like cold water. So why would I willingly jump into Narragansett Bay 24 times in 24 hours in March? Because this year, I’m plunging for a purpose—freezin' for a reason!
It only takes one visit to a Special Olympics event to see the incredible drive, determination, and heart of these athletes. Watching them compete is truly inspiring. Their motivation to succeed, no matter the challenge, reminds us that we, too, can push through discomfort to make a difference.
This year, I’ve committed to the 2025 24-Hour Torch Run Super Plunge to support Special Olympics Rhode Island. Starting on Saturday, March 22nd, I’ll be part of a team of dedicated “Super Plungers” diving into the icy waters at Salty Brine State Beach every hour for 24 hours.
Our goal is to raise $125,000, and we need your help to make it happen! Your donation will directly support these amazing athletes, providing them with the resources, opportunities, and programs they need to continue achieving greatness.
Please consider supporting our team and helping us make this year’s Super Plunge the most successful one yet. Every donation—big or small—makes a difference.
Thank you for your support, and if you’re in the area, come cheer us on at Salty Brine State Beach anytime between March 22nd at 1 PM and March 23rd at Noon. Together, we can make a splash for a great cause!
Let’s do this!
