A Message From Veronica Houston
💙 I Plunge for a Purpose — and Freeze for a Reason! ❄️
It’s that incredible time of year again, and I’m beyond excited to announce that I’ll be returning for my second year as a Super Plunger on March 21–22, 2026!
For a full 24 hours, I’ll be plunging into the icy Atlantic Ocean once every hour, on the hour, to raise funds and awareness for the amazing athletes of Special Olympics Rhode Island (SORI).
This year’s Super Plunge begins at 12 PM on Saturday, March 21st, and runs straight through to 12 PM on Sunday, March 22nd, at Salty Brine State Beach, 254 Great Island Road, Narragansett, RI. 🌊
It’s an experience that pushes every limit — with freezing winds, crashing waves, and the raw power of nature testing both body and spirit. But every single plunge is worth it because it raises vital funds for over 4,000 Special Olympics athletes across Rhode Island who inspire us every day with their courage, determination, and heart.
Your support truly makes a life-changing difference. Every dollar helps ensure that these athletes — and their families — can participate in year-round programs, competitions, and wellness events hosted by SORI at no cost to them.
✨ Please consider making a donation and joining me in supporting this incredible cause. Together, we can make waves of inclusion, hope, and opportunity that ripple far beyond the shore.
With gratitude and determination,
Veronica 💙

In Support of Special Olympics RI
Special Olympics is a global movement that unleashes the human spirit through the transformative power and joy of sports, every day around the world. Through sports, health, education and community programming, Special Olympics is tackling inactivity, intolerance, isolation and injustice that people throughout the world face, especially people with intellectual disabilities.
Special Olympics Rhode Island is one of the state’s most dynamic programs, providing over 1,600 year-round sports training and athletic competition opportunities to more than 4,000 children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Special Olympics Rhode Island hosts over 40 statewide tournaments and competitions each year in 20 official and demonstration sports.
