A Message From Elaine Perry

Hello Friends! I’m raising money to support Special Olympics in honor of an incredible young athlete, named Cote. I’ve known Cote and his Mom, Tammy for many years and am blessed to have them in my life. Cote’s family is truly amazing, supportive, dedicated and so much more. I am very excited to be a part of such a wonderful team! Cote was born with Down Syndrome, and like so many athletes in the Special Olympics community, he brings determination, joy, and love to everything he does. Cote has a smile and laugh that brightens everyone’s day. His intelligence, determination, perseverance, surfing and cooking skills are quite remarkable. Programs like Special Olympics give athletes like Cote the chance to play sports, build confidence, make friendships, and experience the pride that comes with being part of a team. For many families, these opportunities mean the world. The support, encouragement, and sense of belonging that Special Olympics provides can truly change lives. If you’re able, please consider making a donation to help support these amazing athletes and the opportunities they deserve. Every contribution—no matter the size—helps provide training, equipment, and competitions. Thank you for helping celebrate athletes like Cote and for supporting a community built on inclusion, respect, and the power of sport. Thank you! Elaine Perry

Special Olympics is a global movement that unleashes the human spirit through the transformative power and joy of sports, every day around the world. Through sports, health, education and community programming, Special Olympics is tackling inactivity, intolerance, isolation and injustice that people throughout the world face, especially people with intellectual disabilities. Special Olympics Rhode Island is one of the state’s most dynamic programs, providing over 1,600 year-round sports training and athletic competition opportunities to more than 4,000 children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Special Olympics Rhode Island hosts over 40 statewide tournaments and competitions each year in 20 official and demonstration sports.
