A Message From Mark Brasil
Since 2008, I have had the honor of participating in the Torch Run Plunge in support of Special Olympics Rhode Island. Over the years, this event has become more than just a tradition, it is a meaningful commitment to the athletes and the mission we serve.
From 2017 until 2025, I challenged myself further by participating in the Super Plunge, pushing beyond my comfort zone to raise additional awareness and funds. This year, I am returning to my roots with the Torch Run Plunge, continuing my dedication to this incredible cause. This event represents not just a moment in the cold, but a lasting impact on the lives of thousands of athletes who benefit from the opportunities, inclusion, and support that Special Olympics provides.
Please help me to raise funds and awareness for the amazing Special Olympic athletes!

In Support of Special Olympics RI
Special Olympics is a global movement that unleashes the human spirit through the transformative power and joy of sports, every day around the world. Through sports, health, education and community programming, Special Olympics is tackling inactivity, intolerance, isolation and injustice that people throughout the world face, especially people with intellectual disabilities.
Special Olympics Rhode Island is one of the state’s most dynamic programs, providing over 1,600 year-round sports training and athletic competition opportunities to more than 4,000 children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Special Olympics Rhode Island hosts over 40 statewide tournaments and competitions each year in 20 official and demonstration sports.
