A Message From Kyle Fellela
Since 2010-I take part in the Penguin Plunge every year because it's about so much more than jumping into freezing water.
I plunge for the athletes of Special Olympics Rhode Island. Every dollar our Icebreakers team raises helps fund year-round sports, health programs, and inclusion for thousands of athletes who show up with more heart and determination than most.
I plunge because I've seen what that support does. I've seen the confidence, the friendships, the pure joy on an athlete's face when they compete. That's worth being cold for a few minutes.
And honestly, I plunge because of the community around it. Year after year, friends, family, and strangers come together to fundraise, to laugh, to freeze together. It's become a tradition I'm proud to lead.
The water is cold, but the reason is warm. That's why I'll keep plunging
