A Message From Unified Pilgrim Patriots
Pilgrim High School has been actively participating in all things unified since 2011. We have a vibrant social club that meets weekly to participate in school activities to promote friendship, diversity and inclusion. We also help to support annual state and national initiatives sponsored by Special Olympics including Unity Day in October, district-wide Unified Spirit Week in December, Spread the Word Day and the Unified Plunge in March. Our Unified Volleyball and Basketball Teams also sponsor a Unified Sport Day and proudly have each won a state championship in our division. We appreciate your support for our Unified Program as one-half of the funds raised by our plunge team come directly back to our school to support these programs!

Special Olympics is a global movement that unleashes the human spirit through the transformative power and joy of sports, every day around the world. Through sports, health, education and community programming, Special Olympics is tackling inactivity, intolerance, isolation and injustice that people throughout the world face, especially people with intellectual disabilities.
Special Olympics Rhode Island is one of the state’s most dynamic programs, providing over 1,600 year-round sports training and athletic competition opportunities to more than 4,000 children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Special Olympics Rhode Island hosts over 40 statewide tournaments and competitions each year in 20 official and demonstration sports.
