A Message From Oliveia Shaughnessy
Hello. My name is Liv. I have been involved with Unified Programs for about 5 years now. I am on the Unified Volleyball, and Unified Basketball team and I am also the co-chair of SORI Youth Activation Committee. This year I will be doing a polar plunge with my unified volleyball team in March 2022. The past years, I have made so many amazing friendships and gained so many positive experiences and opportunities from the EGHS unified program and from Special Olympics. This campaign means alot to me because with the fundraising we do, we are able to have more supports and opportunities for our athletes.

In Support of Special Olympics RI
Special Olympics is a global movement that unleashes the human spirit through the transformative power and joy of sports, every day around the world. Through sports, health, education and community programming, Special Olympics is tackling inactivity, intolerance, isolation and injustice that people throughout the world face, especially people with intellectual disabilities.
Special Olympics Rhode Island is one of the state’s most dynamic programs, providing over 1,600 year-round sports training and athletic competition opportunities to more than 4,000 children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Special Olympics Rhode Island hosts over 40 statewide tournaments and competitions each year in 20 official and demonstration sports.
