A Message From Lauren Morelle
Hello!
My name is Lauren Morelle and I am an occupational therapist at Curvin McCabe Elementary School in Pawtucket, RI. Here at Curvin, we strive to include all of our students as much as possible. Our school has a Unified Team where students in grade 5 team up with our students with disabilities to work on social skills through basketball and soccer. They have weekly practices and 2 times per year the Unified Team participates in a game against another elementary school in the district. The fifth grade students make sure everyone is included, helping children to make baskets and celebrating them when they do. It is an amazing event and a wonderful program!
My team and I will be plunging for a cause on Saturday March 22 at Scarborough State Beach in Narragansett. All donations will go towards growing our Unified School Team making sure all students are included!
