My name is Kerri-Ann McWilliams, and I am a correctional officer and proud member of the Rhode Island Brotherhood of Correctional Officers Honor Guard. This year, I am once again walking to raise money for Special Olympics Rhode Island because I believe in the power of inclusion and the life changing impact of sports for individuals with intellectual disabilities. The Special Olympics gives these athletes the chance to grow stronger physically, mentally, and emotionally while building confidence, independence and lifelong friendships. By supporting this cause, we are helping remarkable athletes continue to thrive and empowering them to reach their fullest potential both on and off the field. Every step I take in this fundraiser is a step toward a brighter, more inclusive future, where everyone is valued, celebrated and included.
