UPDATE: After receiving over $300 in the first 24 hours, I think we can do better for the athletes. Let's shoot for $1,000! As much as I enjoy being able to help (run escort for) the Torch Run, I genuinely love working with the gear jammers on the Torch Run Truck Convoy Team and now the Special Olympics Rhode Island Torch Run Plunge! This will be my third year doing the Plunge, and while our efforts pale in comparison to what the Super Plunge Legends go through, IT IS FREAKING COLD, so cut us, amateurs, a break!!! Lol I am setting my goal at $500 again. In the last two years, we doubled our goal thanks primarily to a single donor and raised over $1,000 for Special Olympics Rhode Island.
